Polperro witnesses the meeting between little rivers and the Atlantic. At low tide, the boats rest snugly in the muddy beds of the rivers and families gather around them to clean and repair.

The coves around Tintagel Castle, Cornwall, are reminiscent of a beloved gothic novel from Cornwall itself - Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. The caves and the cliffsides are are perfect for gothic imageries and exquisitely disturbing narratives.
